Kim

Kim graduated from James Madison University, with a BS in Health Sciences, a minor in Special Education; and Masters in Occupational Therapy.

Founder and owner of Sensational Kidz, Kim’s passions for working with people with physical disabilities started when she was a young girl and would volunteer with her mom at the Northern Virginia Training Center, a facility that would house and provide services for people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Fresh out of college, Kim moved to San Francisco where she began her OT career in a hospital setting working with geriatrics. She would soon follow her passion for working with pediatrics working at private clinics, schools and home-based environments. Today, Kim works with children, newborn to high school-aged, helping them address difficulties in fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-help skills and feeding challenges.

Kim is a certified member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, California Board of Occupational Therapy and Integrated Listening Systems (iLS). Kim also holds certifications in; Sequential Oral Sensory (S.O.S) Approach to Feeding, Handwriting Without Tears, HANDLE (Holistic Approach to Neuro-Development and Learning Efficiency), Alert Program for Self-Regulation: How Does Your Engine Run?, Zones of Regulation, and the Early Start Denver Model, Safe and Sound Protocol, (SSP).

Kim lives in Marin with her husband and two boys where a day is not complete without a trip to the park or sports field. An avid athlete, Kim has competed in triathlons, half ironmans and half marathons. When not training, Kim loves a good work out, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the wine countryside of California.
